Starting out

If you just began to play the excellent game that is clash of clans, than you probably need some advice and some steering if you want to make a great start.  First of all, Base Structure: When you first begin the game you will be given a short introduction and be left to your own device aside from a few almost worthless pointers.
What you need to do is first make some money.  Since you start from the bottom financially, a good way to make some money is to hit them goblins.  But before you do that, you need to make sure your base is in good form, so that when you stop playing, you will be prepared for a raid.  Usually, you won't be raided until you raid, so enjoy your free time.  Supercell was nice enough to not allow you to be raided until your trophy level was above 0.
First thing is to get your base into a orderly fashion.  And you can't really do that until you have some gold to buy walls.  So, you need to train up your troops, use some gems if you would like.  While your waiting, you need to do a little arranging.  Put your Town hall in the middle, and put all your storage's around it.  Try to position your cannon so that it's shooting range covers your town hall and your storage's.  After you have done that, use your trained troops to raid some goblins.  After you have done that you should have some dough.  Repeat this process to keep making money.  Gold is more essential.  Make sure both of your builders are in use for as much time as possible. You need to upgrade your gold mines and elixir pumps, as well as your storage's.  But, before all this, at least try to get a line of simple wooden walls around your cannon, town hall, and storage's.  Once, you have done that you can begin to raid real people for their money.  Use some of your Gems to upgrade things if you have to.
Congrats! You have officially, and successfully begun the tale of your village if you have followed these simple steps, Keep raiding!

P.S. try to upgrade your gold storage a lot so you can either save up gold or gem it to rebuild your clan castle to join clans!

How to make a strong and successful Clan

Many of you may want to create your own clan but may not know how or have experience how to make it grow.  I, in fact, do have personal experience creating a clan. ( if you want to join us, see post: What clan should you join?)
There are a few steps you need to take to make your clan successful.  These steps are very important if you want a very large strong clan.
First thing you need to do is publicize your clan meaning, every opportunity you get advertise it.  The most common way to do this is through global chat.  Often times, there are many people out searching for clans on global chat whether they need a new one or they just need a clan.  Say something interesting about your clan, something that will catch peoples interest.  Because if you just say,"Join." Than nobody will pay attention to you as there are many people doing the same thing will the same plain old message,"Join here" or "Join" or "Join us."  Whatever it may be, your message must be different.
Something you could say would be: We donate a lot, or we are very active, or something good about your clan.  Make sure you send everyone who is not already in a clan an invite to yours, because, chances are that they will probably see a message in their inbox more likely than a chat message that quickly gets pushed to the bottom on global chat.
Another way to advertise that most people wouldn't think of is to go on the button near the bottom corner of the screen next to the mail button that has a picture of a trophy on it.  It shows a lot of players that are in your league.  Often, if you scroll the whole list, you will see people with no clan.  Invite everybody that doesn't have a clan already.  This is a good way to get people that are your level into your clan.  Check back everyday and invite new people on the list.
Tell your friends who play to join whether permanent or temporary, the hardest part is gathering your first few people.  I mean, who is going to join a clan that has only one person in it?  You need some loyal people, not people who will join take your troops and run, that is a type of hopper.
So get your friends to join to attract more people into your clan.  It will help if your friend is a higher level so he/she can attract more people into the clan.  If they are already in a good clan and don't want to join yours, then tell them to join temporarily as to attract more people into the clan.
A good league to create a clan is silver.  Nobody is going to join a clan that is run by a bronze unless they are other bronzes.  Make your base look good.  Often people will judge you and how good your clan is and will be by how your base looks.  recruit lower level people to get the amount of people in your clan up before you recruit your level people.  If you recruit lower levels first, than you will seem strong to them and they will want to join.  Be nice to your clan members.  You wanna treat the first joiners very well so they will want to stay.
Lastly, I am gong to warn you about hoppers.  There are several types of hoppers.  There is the donation hopper, which is probably the most harmless, yet still annoying.  A donation hopper is someone who joins your clans, than ask for donation and then, shortly after leaves.  Than there is the elder hopper.  These types of hoppers will join your clan, ask for elder, and if you give it to them, they will kick the highest level person in your clan and leave.  This happened to me twice and I lost both of my golds.  This is why I stress not to give out free elder, unless you trust them or they have earned it.
The last kind of hopper is called the leader hopper, and for them to be successful you have to be pretty gullible.  These guys will join your clan and whether or not they are higher than you they will ask for leader.  If your smart you will of course say no.  But if you actually give it to them then they will completely mess up your clan.  Some things they might do it change the symbol, description to say something dumb or inappropriate, and they will kick any members you have perhaps even you.
Once they are done, if they don't kick you and leave the clan, they will pass leadership back to you and leave, leaving you with a messed up clan.  Take these thoughts and suggestions into mind and good luck creating that clan!

Barracks level 3 Raiding Strategy

Alright, so now that goblins were added into the picture this provides more opportunity for higher level raiding strategy simulating.  What I mean by that is that there is a barracks level 8 raiding strategy that I use often and now that you have level 3 barracks, you can use a strategy that is similar to the lvl 8 one, just on a lower scale and with weaker troops.
Now, I will soon get to a barracks level 8 raiding strategy after I go through all the others for those of you level eighters.  The level eight strategy is what I like to call: The giant, healer, and goblin strategy.  But now is not the post to get into something that high leveled.  What I was saying is now that you have goblins you may be able to simulate this more advanced strategy but only with a big portion missing where the healers should be.
My advice is that you can use barbarians as replacement for the giants, throw in some archers instead of healers without the flying and healing ability, and some goblins.  Another downside is that barbarians will go for anything in their path, and giants will go for defenses first, but this is only a simulation.  So, first deploy your barbarians near the defenses, and if you can, get them to attack them first.  Next step is shortly after you deploy all your barbarians, you need to deploy your archers to help them out with the cannons shooting at them while the barbarians are still trying to break the walls.  Even if your archers die in the process, it's ok, because they helped your barbarians out while they were still trying to get through the walls and such.  Hold your goblins until your barbarians are through smashing up the defenses so you have nothing to fear knowing goblins die quite easily but are good for stealing loot.
Once your barbarians are either distracting all the defenses, or have destroyed them already, you can deploy your goblins to run in and sack the loot.  If the barbarians don't look like they are doing to well out there or look like the whole lot of them are going to die out there soon, deploy your goblins fast so they can snatch as much as they can for the short time the defenses will be distracted.  This strategy is not a guarantee that you will win the battle but it is a guarantee, if done right, you will gain a lot of loot from the process if not win the battle.
But even so, there is still a very well off chance you will win with this strategy as it is a very good one for destroying also.  This strategy will get you a victory as well as a lot of loot from the village if you do not end up getting a 100%  This is all, when you upgrade your barracks, come check out the next raiding strategy!

What clan should you join?

WHAT CLAN SHOULD YOU JOIN?

Clans are a big and important aspects to the game.  Choosing the right one is vital to your success.  First off choose one that is appropriate for your level.  If you can get into a clan with people higher than you than great!  But you may not last long in their if your donating troops weak to them.
Join a clan that is active.  Join a clan that donates a lot.  If you have active members in that clan, and many of them, than you will always have someone to talk to about everything clash of clans.  And you will always have active donors to turn to in your hour of need.  Clan donation can sometimes make a large difference when raiding so with active donors, you can get help anytime you need it when you need it.
Join a clan that has a high number of people, the more the merrier.  This is all the advice I have for you for you for now

Check out my clan!  If you are looking for a clan, than if you want come, join mine!  Our clan is called DOMINATORS and it yields a white and black symbol, and I am the founder and leader of the clan.  If you are silver and up consider joining.  My username is Awesomedudeepiq.  Come check us out.

Level 2 Barracks Raiding strategy

LEVEL 2 BARRACKS:

Wow, you have upgraded your barracks to level two, congratulations,  now you have archers.  These are handy little troops.  With these guys, you no need worry about walls because they simply shoot over them.  Thus, the beauty of archers.  Now, down to business.  Its really up to you.  Do you want to use a formula of barbarians and archers, or just barbarians? (If you still feel like just using barbarians, than see post: Level 1 barracks raiding strategy)
Pick and approach your foe.  Now analyze their base.  Where are their defenses, near or far?  Are they near the walls?  If so, than simply deploy your archers across the wall in a position to fire and take down those cannons!  If they have structures located outside of their walls then you can simply shoot them down if you are out of range from any nearby defenses.
If they have defenses outside of their walls then I suggest you use barbarians for the job.  Another good trick is to have the archers shoot anything across the walls while you have the barbarians break them, eventually leading to victory.
Take and use this advice, good luck and good raiding!

Level 1 Barracks Raiding Strategy

LEVEL 1 BARRACKS:

Well since your barracks are only level one, there are not many options, so, we are going to have to go with barbarians.  Train as many as your army camps allow, then head into your desired battle.  If your stuck between whether you should raid goblins or actual people then consider this:  Are you in a position to forfeit trophies?  Do you have a steady supply of Gold and Elixir?  Are your village defenses honed out yet? (meaning you have your full village surrounded by walls and other such defense mechanisms because if you raid, prepare to be raided.) If you answered no to at least two of these questions, than i advise you go with the goblins for now.  But if you are in fact, ready to raid full on then go for it.
First off, (Doesn't matter if your fighting goblins or not)  Check out the scene.  This is why in when you are raiding real people, they give you a set amount of time before you have to begin raiding that person.  If you are battling goblins your in luck, you get an un-timed opportunity to observe your foe.  First of all the goal is to take out all the defenses first for some uninterrupted smashing right?  In this case you are going to need to seek out and find all the defenses present, which includes:  Cannons, archer towers, and mortars ( At your level there really shouldn't be any other defenses existing within their village)  Once you find these spots, deploy your barbarians as close to them as possible.
The thing with barbarians is that, like most other troop types, they go for the nearest structure and destroy it.  This is why Giants are so useful, but we are dealing with barracks level one, are we not?  Now you are just gonna have to hope the barbarians go for the nearest defense and charge.  Depending on the layout of the village, you need to decide whether or not to deploy all your barbarians at once.  If it looks like the best thing to do than go for it.  If not, than a good way to test it is to deploy one and see where they head.  If all your opponents defenses seem to be in one central area than its best to deploy all your troops at once.  If your opponents defenses seem to be spread out then you should probably deploy them all in one area.
This is all the advice I have to give you for now lvl. 1 barrackers!  Good luck and Good Raiding!
